Sub-Prime Mess....In A Rant

Nick over at Punny Money has encapsulated exactly how I feel about the whole government bail out of the idiots that jumped into a sub-prime mortgage.

My favorite line: "People who can’t do interest rate math shouldn't be given six-figure loans in the first place!"

If you read Nick's blog regularly you know his rant will be entertaining. Check it out - here!

Consumed - Is Our Consumer Society Sustainable?

I have been off the grid for a while. I have been studying for a certification exam and spending some time in Philly (more on that later).

I have been meaning to link to this series from NPR called Consumed - Is Our Consumer Society Sustainable?

We are what we buy — a glib adage to be sure, but it prompts an interesting question: Is our consumer society sustainable? American Public Media takes on that question in this special series. We follow consumerism from its origins to its dominance in the world's economy and, arguably, its culture. I think that this is especially relevant during our holiday season that focuses on consumerism. I have linked to some of my favorite segments of the series:
Go ahead, I know you want to. NPR is like brain candy!
Cheers,
TMac

Man I can't wait for this exam to be over with
